Exfoliation Treatment

Dermaplaning

Medical-grade physical exfoliation using a sterile surgical blade to remove dead skin cells and vellus hair. Immediate radiance, smoother texture, and dramatically enhanced product absorption.

Instant radiance.
Smoother skin.

A sterile medical-grade scalpel held at 45 degrees gently scrapes away the outermost layer of dead skin cells and fine vellus hair. The result: immediately smoother, brighter skin with a more even texture.

Dermaplaning also dramatically enhances product penetration — serums, masks and Obagi protocols absorb up to 70% more effectively following treatment.

Recommended every 4–6 weeks as part of a regular skin maintenance programme. Excellent as a standalone treatment and as an addition to facials and peels.

No — this is a common myth. Vellus hair (peach fuzz) has a completely different structure to terminal hair. Dermaplaning does not alter hair growth rate, thickness, or texture in any way. It simply removes fine surface hairs temporarily.

Minimal. Mild redness for a few hours is normal. Avoid active skincare (retinol, acids) for 24 hours post-treatment. Sun protection is essential. Most patients wear makeup the same day if needed.

Not recommended during active acne breakouts or cystic acne. For those with post-acne marks seeking to improve texture between flare-ups, it can be appropriate. Kerry will advise at consultation.

Every 4–6 weeks is ideal — aligning with the skin's natural cell turnover cycle. Can be combined with facial peels or pro facial treatments for enhanced results.
